Some answers:
1. Regarding classes and certificates, you can have a certificate with a blank line for the name and call people up and the end of class and fill in the name with them right there. I am sure you can come up with a beautiful sacred ceremony to make everyone feel wonderful.
2. Regarding referrals in class: instructors who aren't rushing out to their next class should make time once a week or so to stay behind and talk with people about their yoga. Become approachable. Talk to people about their issues and you will be able to grow your business.
