Default The Seven Sentence Guerilla Marketing Strategy

Hi Mr Marketing Guru

I took your advice and am working my way through Levinson's 'Guerilla Marketing'. It is certainly not something I would have picked up before finding this website, that's for sure.

Levinson stresses the necessity of the Seven Sentence Marketing Strategy before you do anything else and I have given it a go. I find it hard to narrow it down and not keep adding target groups and purposes (I guess I'd like to do it all), so I figured I would put it up here what I've come up with and let you shoot at it.

1. The purpose of Marleen's Yoga advertising is to convince the target audience to pick up the phone and book a private yoga session with me.
2. This will be accomplished by positioning Marleen's Yoga sessions as very beneficial to people's well-being, physically and mentally.
3. The target market are women (and men) over 35 that are starting to realize their body needs maintenance to stay/become healthy and fit. The other target market are local businesses that want to increase their employees productivity by lowering their stress and keeping them in shape.
4. I will use craigslist ads, Google Adwords and Yogafinder.com to direct traffic to my website. I e-mail newsletters to those who opt-in to receive them. I will encourage exisiting clients to refer friends through my Welcome Book. I will snail mail brochures on corporate yoga to mid and large size local businesses. I will approach Wellness Wisdom (massage salon), La Mer (beauty salon) and The Medical Spa here in town (all of which are owned by friends or acquaintances) about displaying brochures or fusion-marketing efforts.
5. The niche that I want to occupy is that of a yoga teacher that provides lots of personal attention and that will help you devlop a program to make yourself feel better and look better. I am qualified to work with a great variety of people: seniors, pregnant women, post partum women and even children, from toddlers to teens.
6. My identity will be warm, encouraging and down to earth.
7. My marketing budget is pretty much non-existent, except for the costs of web-hosting and the printing of brochures/flyers.

I'd love your input.
