Default website feedback

Hello Sara and Harlan,

First, a great big *thanks* to both of you for what you are doing to help all of us promote our yoga teaching.

I'd like some suggestions on how to improve my website.

dakini yoga, laura downing

There is a little graphics glitch on the home page and my class schedule has changed since posting this site so I need to update that. I'd really appreciate some feedback to make myself more marketable to a wider client base and to draw in more privates. I have been reading the suggestions you have made about other sites and I'm starting to think I may need to take a different approach. Let me know what you think.

Thanks again!

Laura

Default website feedback

Laura,

Hi there. Thanks for your interest in out site.

I checked out your website. The picture on your home page is beautiful but what are you trying to say?

You have 6 seconds to make someone want to stay on your page.

The caption under your picture is inspiring but I could hardly read it. What a shame.

Change the type so it is more eligable. hard to read the white over green. The home page is pretty but think about who you are marketing to and what you want to say about yoga. What makes you stand out from other yoga teachers.

I really liked the photos you had of yourself. Keep those. Maybe think of adding some with you and your students as well.

The events page--You are hosting a retreat.

Create a headline for this page and hype it up more.

You put the picture of the castle first. You gave away to much to soon.

Headline, Talk a little more about the benefits of a retreat. Then show the picture, so they can get excited and then post the date.

Have a call to action on this page for the retreat.

Hurry to book your spot to rest and rejuvinate in this castle of paradise. Limited space availabel. To book you spot now call Laura at ?

Create a little urgency and get them interested in the idea of going to italy. Explain in a conversational tone all that a yoga retreat can do for them.

I enjoyed reading your bio. I come from a dance background as well. Ahhh...thank-god for yoga. So different yet so connected.

Have some testimonials of people who have taken you classes or worked one on one with.

Llist more benefits someone will gain from doing yoga. call to action on your last page.

That is my feedback but we will have the Master of Marketing look it over and see what he has to say.

Make a few changes and let us know. I also think you should change the green on the home page. Wasn't a very effective color.

Blessings,
Sara
