Default Private Client Advice!

I'm currently in the process of giving up my corporate job to something more local and part time so I can concentrate on yoga teaching.

I teach four nights a week and have one private client currently. I'd really like to increase my private client base. I live in quiet an affluent area with lots of young families/full time mums and so on so I know the market is there, I'm just not quite sure how to get them. I have had some interest but wonder if you have any tips on how to build this interest?!

Namaste
Rachel

Default Getting buisness

Hi Ishtar

I have had great luck donating gift certificates to charitable events for raffle or incentive prixes. Make sure you attend the event personally and chat people up. I make the cerificate out for two private sessions or one yoga party for up to five friends. I also work within a buisness networking group. My husband has a buisness that does auto detailing with valet service and free pick up and delivery. He belongs to a networking group and leaves a package in clients finished cars that includes a flyer of mine, and coupons from other buisness he associates with. We all get buisness referrals from one another.

I cannot emphasize the importance of good networking. You have to get out and talk to people in social settings find out how your buisness might share clientele with someone else's.

My husband's clientele usually are busy and stressed, and like things delivered to them. Since I bring yoga to them at their convienience, it's a great match. Plus he has to go into their place of buisness to get their keys and on the way he meets their coworkers who want their cars done, who may also want yoga.... starting to see how this works?

Yoga is not the "Field of Dreams"
Just 'cause you build it doesn't mean they'll come. Go out and network!

Good Luck

I like the idea of offering gift certificates for charity events. Being there and offering your services really brings in a lot of great publicity and generates good exposure.
