Hi Sara & Harlan,
Thanks so much for your website. It has been an invaluable tool for information & inspiration. My question to you after viewing your video, is how safe is it to post your phone number on craigslist? I understand the benefit of establishing voice contact, but I just wonder if Sara has any problems with this. Thanks-Nancy |

Hi Nancy.
Glad to have you as a part of our forum. I so much appreciate your positive feedback on our site. Our goal and mission is to help other yoga teachers be successful in their journey of teaching yoga by improving their worth as teachers and assisting them in Marketing techniques that will boost your business and success. There is so much abundance in the world and if you are energetically enhancing and changing people's lives by what you do then there is plenty of money to go around to everyone. With that said, to answer your question--YES, YES, & YES. There is no need to be timid or fearful about posting your phone number on Craigs list. It is important that you get the potential client to call you. This is how you turn a person who is interested into a client. When you speak to someone over the phone it is much more personnal. When they call you ask lots of questions and your will see if they are really interested or just a little wacky. I never worry about posting my number. If you are doing privates in your home then you may not want to have a male client in your home for the first time if you live alone. Now you may get someone who sounds a little strange on the phone and then I would just listed to your intuition and then get off the phone. When I speak to someone for the first time, I use my intuition and vibe of their voice and response to my questions. I actually have a few male clients who found me through craigslist and they are terrific, loyal clients. It is more important to post your number on craigslist than your email. Keep in touch and have a great rest of your week, with warmth and smiles, Sara |

Hi Sara,
Thanks for the advice about the phone situation. You said: If you are doing privates in your home then you may not want to have a male client in your home for the first time if you live alone. What would you suggest? Where would you see a male for first time if you live alone? Debbie |

I know Sara will jump in here.
I think that you get a lot of information over the phone. From that point on, you've got to trust your vibes. If their first session is in an office, I think you are pretty safe. If they are a referral, you are in even better shape. But if they sound scuzzy on the phone, don't invite them to your house. Trust your instincts. I was a referral to Sara and saw her in my office. Because I was a referral, she felt reasonably safe. (Now, I'm not so sure. :-) ) Harlan |
