Default Sun Salutation

Hi, Harlan and Sara,

I can't wait to get home to view the sun salutation, to see if that helps my occasional sore back (especially from sleeping in strange beds during vacation...).

New Year Greetings to you!

I bet it will help.

Sara and I usually do it three or four times in a practice.

Let me know what you think.

Peace.

Hi,
That is a long teaching demonstration. I watched the first 21 minutes, in which Sara went into the sequences slowly. I'll go back later, and look to see her additional "flair" she does for the more hands on approach, but you know she did a lot of hands on with her student in the first 20 minutes!

I did the flow myself, and in knowing that I won't have bolsters, repeated the thread the needle the second time with some different variations.

So, I used the flow in my gentle beginning yoga class last night. I've already do something very similar to this sequence in the classes that I teach, but adding the lions breath in the cat/cow flow was really cool. The students really like that. The only thing I forgot (I try to do things without notes), was the downward facing dog, and DD with bent knees.

Additionally, I added Tree, Warrior II, Warrior I, a Standing breathing flow. Seated twists. Then with a small core ball, did a sequence to release the deep tissues in the behind and low back. Wind poses, Lying Down Spinal Twists, Knees to Chest, then Relaxation with the lavender, and leg sway and pull, then further guided relaxation.

I saw someone this morning who took the class, and she really enjoyed the sequences. Several people in the class took up the hobby of snoring in the class. I wonder how many will do that today?

Good stuff!

Gaileee

Hi,
Anyone else have any comments about the Sara's Sun Salutations?

(Am I the only one to comment out of the 11,000 who have viewed the video?)
