Default What is your monthly rate?

Harlan/Sara,

How do you answer this question in an email, and that is the ONLY thing written (besides the persons first name) in that email?

Do you ask them to call, instead of answering with the "rate"?

If you can't ask them to call, then how does one respond?

Thanks!

Gail

p.s. Or do you just ignore it?

Hi Gaileee,

Interesting e-mail. This is how I would deal with it. I would e-mail the person

back and ask them for their phone number. Tell them that you prefer to talk

to them on the phone and you don't discuss your rates via e-mail. You could

also give them your number and have them call you. Don't ignore the person

as it could turn out to be a full time client. You never know Just go for it

and see what the outcome is. Once you get them on the phone, then begin

the conversation by asking how they heard about you and what it is they

want to gain out of taking a yoga session with you. Try to get them

responding to your questions and see how much information you can first

find out about them. Once you have warmed them up, talk briefly about what

you do in a session and how a private session is very beneficial. Then last

but not least tell him how much you charge. Contact them as soon as you

can....the sooner the better. Get them while they are interested. As Harlan

would say "the porkypine is in heat."

Good Luck.

Peace
Sara
